Preparing for the Warehouse of 2030: A Flexible Approach to Automation

Today’s manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse organizations are under increased pressure from growing customer demands, labor shortages, and varying peak seasons.  Many organizations are turning to automation to help alleviate these challenges, but teams that implement robots alone might be let down by the results.

The reason?  A warehouse is a continually moving ecosystem.  Shipments, bottlenecks, delays, and layout needs, can change in an instant.  And unless your robots are intelligent and adaptable, you could be under more pressure than when you started.  To set your warehouse up for success by 2030, businesses need to take a flexible approach to automation.

During this session, Daniel Theobald, Founder & Chief Innovation Officer at Vecna Robotics, will explain why real innovation and efficiency in the supply chain (for now AND the future) comes from orchestration technology.  He’ll explain how these solutions look at a warehouse as a system, unifying humans, robots and equipment, and how they react to fluctuating demands in real-time, to drive productivity.  Daniel will also discuss recent standards from MassRobotics, that make it easier for robots to communicate and work together, now, and in the future, as well as still-to-be-developed technology/ideas that are being worked on now, for the future.

Attendees will walk away with an understanding of what it takes to set up their warehouse, for automation success by 2030.
