Now, as the Chief Procurement Officer of Tradeshift (the largest global business network for buying and selling), Roy is one of the only network CPO&#8217;s in the world. He is enacting transformational change in the marketplace, allowing thousands of companies to choose from curated tools, that allow them to share digital data with their suppliers &#8211; a solution that digitizes the supply chain in a way that has never been done before. A string of impressive accomplishments during his 30+ years in procurement, prepared Roy to take on this unique role.<\/p>\n<p>Roy has led transformational change throughout his career, implementing a DOD first mainframe EDI to a supplier network, at the dawn of the PC era. He worked with early technology pioneers, to build and implement e-Procurement and e-Sourcing, prior to Y2K, and drove billions of dollars in electronic sourcing, while developing MWBE suppliers, to excel across a wide range of categories.<\/p>\n<p>He has designed, and integrated global travel programs, driving demand management, and improved associate safety. Roy has built multi-tiered staff training and coaching, incorporated into individual experiential development plans. He has been successful at implementing e-procurement, supplier risk management, and supplier performance and governance programs, as well as building green initiatives, and change management initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Tradeshift a year ago, Roy led the Procurement technology transformation at companies such as Raytheon, Textron, Fidelity Investments, and as CPO at John Hancock, MetLife and State Street Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Roy holds a BS and MBA from Babson College of Wellesley, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roy Anderson Roy Anderson has been at the forefront of procurement technology since the 1980&#8217;s.
