Hannes Hunschofsky is the Managing Director of EIT Manufacturing East located in Vienna, Austria, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
With over 40 years of experience as top executive in multinational manufacturing companies in North America, Europe, and Asia, Hannes is a visionary transformation leader and experienced board member, successfully implementing strategies involving business turnarounds, improvements and growth, start-ups, acquisition integrations, and reorganizations.
Hannes is also an international speaker on topics including leadership, manufacturing and business strategy, and has been a lecturer on leadership for more than ten years. Throughout his career, Hannes has successfully led companies and teams of all sizes, from small teams of three to teams of up to 2,500 members. Together with top class engineering schools, world-renowned technical universities and global corporates, he has designed multiple leading-edge programs and curricula on leadership in general, as well as leadership in specific areas of business. His articles and papers have been published in numerous journals and books, both in the US and Europe.
Previously, Mr. Hunschofsky served as CEO/COO/President/Exec. VP for companies like GE Jenbacher, August Storm, and HOERBIGER, and has experience in leading global manufacturing companies in North America, Europe and Asia. He speaks internationally on manufacturing strategy and leadership topics and has addressed audiences at the:
