Mr. McCready directs and manages the financial systems and strategic management programs of the Authority, including budgeting, receipt of revenue, expenditure of funds, and conservation of assets. In this role, he coordinates the preparation of financial statements, reports, and special analyses; and presents recommendations for strategic, programmatic and fiscal changes to the Board and management. The Authority competes primarily in the convention and meetings industry, owning and operating two Boston convention centers, including the largest building in New England, a combined convention center/7,000 seat arena in Springfield, MA, and two 1,300 space parking facilities in Boston.

Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. McCready was the Chief of Staff and Corporate Secretary at the Boston Foundation, New England's largest community foundation with an endowment of over $600 million granting over $50 million annually to Boston non-profit organizations. He served as the principal aide to the President & CEO, overseeing all operations of the Office of the President, including management of staff, board relations, administration, policies and procedures, and special initiatives.

He joined the Foundation in 2001 from Harvard University, where Mr. McCready served as the Director of Community Affairs. Before joining the Foundation, Mr. McCready was Director of Community Affairs at Harvard University, as well as serving a number of years as a corporate attorney at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., the fifth largest law firm in Minnesota.

Education
Mr. McCready received a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University, where he was a Yale Club of New York Scholar, and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Affiliations
Mr. McCready remains actively engaged in the non-profit community, serving as a Director of the Center for Women & Enterprise, member of the Board of Governors of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and a member of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee for Boston.

Mr. McCready, his wife and daughters reside in Lexington, Massachusetts.
