Brooks A. Bentz
President, Transplace Supply Chain Consulting

Brooks A. BentzMr. Bentz is President of Transplace Supply Chain Consulting. His expertise is in transportation strategy and operations, outsourcing, 3rd-party logistics, and private fleet management, as well as strategic transportation procurement and network optimization. Mr. Bentz has extensive expertise in the transportation industry during a career spanning 40 years.

Prior to joining Transplace his experience included:

     • 21 years with Andersen Consulting/Accenture, where he was a Managing Director in Supply Chain Management, responsible for Supply Chain Transportation globally.
     • He also served as a Vice President of Intermodal for Burlington Northern Railroad, where he developed BN America, the company's domestic container operation.
     • He was President and CEO of Ameritrans Corporation, the 3PL subsidiary of IU International.
     • He was also CEO of Trans-Star Trucking, a regional LTL/TL motor carrier.
     • Prior to that he was General Manager-Intermodal, for Boston & Maine Railroad, and
     • Founder, as well as COO of BMX, B&M's motor carrier subsidiary.
     • He is an Adjunct Professor of Supply Chain in the graduate transportation program at the University of Denver, and a member of the board of directors.
